Tour De Suisse – Final Stage

Tanel Kangert won the final stage of the Tour de Suisse from the breakaway and Rui Costa survived an impressive attack by Frank Schleck on the penultimate climb to win the overall classification. Frank was certainly the most active rider on the day attacking on the Glaubenberg and going away solo, but Alejandro Valverde spent the majority of the day chasing down attackers and burying himself for his leader, and it paid off as Rui da Costa was able to take over within the final kilometers to close in on Steven Kruijswijk, who attacked the favourites on the final Cat2 climb, and preserve the yellow jersey.
