Tour de Sagan – Sagan goes 4 for 6

A tricky, uphill, cobbled finish basically dashed the hopes of any competition to Peter Sagan today as these type of tricky sprints are exactly where Sagan excels. The only question mark on his sprinting are the long, flat, high speed sprints where he can be bested by the likes of Cavendish, Boonen and Kittel. But today was not one of those stages and Sagan was able to squeeze past barriers, sneak through gaps and power to the line to take his fourth stage in the race. He’s got a pretty commanding lead in the points competition… something like 70 points, so, yeah, he’s got that jersey sealed.
