Paris-Nice

An uphill finish which seemed suited to Valverde but there was a round-about within the final run-in that seemed to through the Spaniard losing him about 12 places. Gianni Meersman, who finished third yesterday, took advantage and timed the sprint perfectly winning today. Not much change in the overall except that Valverde loses a place in the stages because Westra was sharp and grabbed third and the bonus seconds.
