La Vuelta – Stage 2 – Sutton scorches them

Chris Sutton (Sky) emerged from the chaotic uphill finish in what looked to be a sprinters dual if the big teams could control the pace. However, the slight uphill finish decimated the field and some of the big names couldn’t contend in the sprint. Sutton emerged victorious over Vincente Reynes and Marcel Kittel. With the placing, Daniele Bennati takes the leaders jersey in the race.

Some interesting results today, when looking down the final finishing times. Matthew Goss DNF’d (not sure why), Andreas Kloden and Tony Martin lost 1’18” (GC +1’47”, GC +2’43”) and Carlos Sastre lost 20″ (now GC +1’03”)
