Critérium du Dauphiné – Stage 5 – Colonel Kern

Christophe Kern, with super marking from Thomas Voeckler, has won the fifth stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné. Kern attacked amongst the numerous assaults that came in the last 5km of the summit to Les Gets, and with some very strong tactical riding by Europcar, he managed to hang on for the win. Thomas Voeckler was within the main group and he aggresively marked every single attempt to chase down Kern. Somehow, the combination of this and Kern turning himself inside out prevailed.
