Giro D’Italia – Stage 16 – Contador time

Hey, he’s a fast guy. If we were all on Contador time we’d get a lot accomplished, especially compared to other really fast people. Pay the bills, fire off a few air pistols, win the last six consecutive Grand Tours you’ve entered. Pffff…. easy! Alberto Contador has won the 16th stage of the Giro, a stage he dedicated to Xavier Tondo (Movistar) who was killed in a freak domestic car accident yesterday. For Contador, this win, the second of the 2011 Giro, really puts a strangle hold on the Giro title as he heads into the final 5 days with a massive lead on his rivals. There are a couple of decisive days left, but barring a complete disaster, the Giro is Bert’s.
