1965 Tour de St. Laurent historical footage

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Big shout out to Savage for telling me about this. It’s great. It’s footage from the 1965 Tour de St Laurent. It was a 2400km, 13 stage race in Eastern Canada, with riders from 13 countries in attendance. Enjoy.

    1. Yeah, It’d be great is someone took up the task of bringing it back. After the Quebec and Montreal GP, which were great, it’d be nice to see this one again. It’s pretty hard to find much info on it though, Who was the first winner I wonder?

  1. The race was 1964 not 1965. I rode the race in 1965 and have all the daily finish sheets. Britannia, a club team from Toronto beat out the Canadian team sponsored by the newspaper La Patrie. I have the trophies.

    1. Hey, that’s great! Thanks for the update. I was only going off what the description was on the NFB website which stated it was from the 1965 edition. I have had a hard time finding any information about the race, so I have no reason to believe it wasn’t from ’64 as you say. What else can you tell me about it?
