2010 Vuelta España – Stages 12 and 13.

Mark Cavendish and …Mark Cavendish with a bunny hop as well. Cav won both today’s sprint and yesterday’s sprint to give him two in this Vuelta and a growing lead in the green jersey competition. It’s almost too easy, isn’t Mark? I wanted to dislike Cavendish a lot when he said: “Ask me about Farrar, ask me about Farrar. He’s getting better? Then I’ll just have to go 80%” or something of the sorts. But, darn, sometimes, especially yesterday, it looks like he’s only going 80% and still winning by four bike lengths.

Stage 13 Top Three
1. Mark Cavendish (HTC)_____4h 50′ 18″
2. Thor Hushovd (Cervelo)____s.t.
3. Daniele Bennati (Liquigas)__s.t.

Stage 12 Top Three
1. Mark Cavendish (HTC)______4h 00′ 30″
2. Tyler Farrar (Garmin)_______s.t.
3. Matthew Goss (HTC)_______s.t.

Two back-to-back sprinters stages means little or no change in the GC and flat speedy finishes, where almost everyone has the same time, so we’ll skip top tens for the last two stages.
