Tour de Suisse – Stage 6

Robert Gesink has won the 6th stage of the Tour de Suisse with an impressive solo climb for the last 15+km. Gesink stormed away from the lead group and built up a lead of over 1 minute en route to victory and the yellow jersey. The first chase group, which in the end finished 42 seconds behind Gesink, contained numerous favorites including Rigoberto Uran, Steve Morabito, Frank Schleck, Joaquim Rodriguez, and Lance Armstrong.

Yellow jersey leader Tony Martin was dropped on the final climb and lost some 2 minutes to the main contenders and has fallen out of contention for the overall win.
