Giro D’Italia – Stage 14

Vincenzo Nibali has won the 14th stage of the Giro D’Italia and informed to the world and Liquigas, that he will be driving the bus, thanks for offering Ivan Basso. For the second straight year, Liquigas has come to the Giro with Basso and another co-leader – in 2009 it was Franco Pellizotti – and Basso has come up short, eventually being relegated to top domestic. Que Polemica? Richie Porte, the Maglia Rosa going into stage 14, gets to put his regular clothes back on after losing just over two minutes to David Arroyo Duran on the climb. Arroyo finished in a group that clawed back a tentative Carlos Sastre on the descent, finishing 2:25 behind Nibali, 2:02 behind Basso, Scarponi and Evans, and 51 seconds behind Vinokourov.
