Paris – Nice – Stage 2

William Bonnet secured the first ‘big’ win of his career, and Contador is bothered by the crash for the second consecutive day as the race speeds toward Nice. The top three finishers managed to avoid another chaotic crash within the front bunch that took down a half dozen riders and allowed Bonnet, Sagan and L.L. Sanchez to create a small amount of space for themselves. Although the peleton finished with a group time, there was little any others could do to outsprint the top three after the crash and it was Bonnet just inching past Sagan for the win.
